The Cairo Puppet Theatre

Rehlat Al-Zaman Al-Gamil (A Journey to the Good Time), a children play about some children who travel to the Pharaonic era written by Yehia Zakaria, puppets and costumes by Nagui Shaker, décor by Mohamed Saad and directed by Mohamed Nour

The Floating Theatre

Afrah Alqoba, play produced by the Youth Theatre Company is based on Naguib Mahfouz novel bearing the same name. It casts Abdel-Moneim Riyad, Mohamed Tamer, Samar Allam, Fatema Adel, Mena Nabil and many more. Décor and lighting by Amr Al-Ashraf, costumes designed by Abeer Badrawi, movement designs by Monadel Antar. It is written and directed by Mohamed Youssef Almansour

Beauty and the Beast, a play for children casts Bahaa Tharwat, Sayed Ragab, Hanaa Said, Ayman Beshay, Nashwa Hassan and many more, written by Nasser Mahmoud and directed by Mahmoud Hassan (Performances run daily, 7pm).
Al-Qawmi (The National) Theatre

Fi Entizar Baba (Waiting for Daddy) play is an adaptation of an ancient Greek Iliad poem of Homer with the application of psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud’s analysis of the ‘Electra complex’, portraying mythical characters in a series of complicated situations. The play casts actors Samah Anwar, Ahmed Salama, Bouthaina Rashwan, Moufid Ashour, and many more, with music composed by Ahmed El-Nasser, choreography designed by Dia’a Shafiq, décor built up by Ehab El-Awamry, and directed by Samir El-Asfoury

Rawabet Art Space

Egyptian director and playwright Ahmed El Attar brings to Rawabet Art Space Duncan Macmillan’s interactive masterpiece Every Brilliant Thing play for the first time in its Arabic debut alongside esteemed actress Nanda Mohamed (13, 14, 15, 16, 17 May, 8pm).

Irtigalia by Ramsi Lehner is a live improvised and interactive comedy theatre performance with no script or preparation. All sketches are decided by the audience during the show and in some sketches, the audience is encouraged to join the performers on stage (Sunday 15 May, 9pm).
