Thurs 8, 9pm: Borqoaa Alhaya (veil of bashfulness) theatrical dance performance by Awalem Khafeya presents behind-the-scenes sequencies inspired by actual experiences of the women’s dance rehearsals. The performance unveils the challenges they face preserving and continuing as female dancers.  

Awalem Khafeya is a Cairo-based contemporary balady dance troupe which draws its inspiration from the Egyptian divas of the 1940s-1960s. At the same time, it blends contemporary techniques into its choreography, costumes, and music. The choreographer and directress Sherin Hegazy will be dancing with her colleagues Fayza Shama, Nourhan Helal, Asia Soliman, Asmaa Ahmed, Fatma Aly, Aya Badawy, Dina Aouni, and Raghda Samy

Gimo’s Adventures children play is performed by Al-Shams (The Sun) Theatre Company for those with special abilities starring Karim El-Hosseiny, Israa Hamed, written by Salah Metwaly and directed by Mohamed Ashri
