Fri 22 and Sat 23, 8pm: Belgian-Egyptian singer Tamino Amir Muharram Fouad brings his unique blend of indie rock, folk and Middle Eastern influences to life. Tamino, a name inspired by the character of Prince Tamino from Mozart’s opera The Magic Flute, is the grandson of the renowned Egyptian singer Muharram Fouad. Tamino plays the oud that links him to his cultural past which he also uses to understand and express his emotional present while honoring his artistic past.
Ewart Memorial Hall “She Arts” Performing Arts Festival (28 October-1 October) is an international art and cultural festival featuring women in diverse artistic creations that tell and share female stories and perspectives with the community. It incorporates various facets of art by female artists from all around the world or artists who portray women in music, performances, visual arts, poetry, and other popular cultural activities.
