Tues 11, 7pm (Free entry): The Italian duo Edoardo Cessari (Viola) and Roberto Arosio (Piano) offer a captivating musical journey through the history of chamber music, with a special focus on the interplay between viola and piano. The artistic duo delves into various musical styles, from Romantic and late-Romantic influences to more modern and contemporary sounds, through the dialogue between viola and piano. The first part of the programme features works by Johannes Brahms and Robert Schumann, while the second part presents compositions by Nino Rota and Luca Francesconi, which reflect 20th-century influences, blending elegance with innovation, reflecting the classical tradition while also introducing new languages and sonorities.
