Two time World champion Giana Farouk will launch its campaign at the ongoing Olympic Games with the aim of adding a new medal to the country.

She will take on Ukrainian player Anita Serogina in the Women Kumite -61kg Elimination round at 05:30 Cairo time (03:30 GMT), before facing Btissam Sadini of Morocco,  Jovana Prekovic of Serbia, and Alexandra Grande Risco of Peru, respectively.

The "Karate Queen", as the World Karate Federation (WKF) often describes her, is aiming big in Tokyo after a series of achievements on the international level.

In the men event, Abdalla Abdelaziz will play the Kumite -75kg Elimination round at 10:00 Cairo time (08:00 GMT) as he will face Karoly Gabor Harspataki of Hungary,  Ken Nishimura of Japan,  Thomas Scott of USA and Ukrainian player  Stanislav Horuna respectively.

Meanwhile, after producing a strong performance in 3m springboard that saw him reach the final earlier this week, diver Mohab Ishak will perform in the 10m platform Men event at 8:00 Cairo time (06:00 GMT)

With his 11 th place obtained in the 3m springboard, Ishak gave Egypt its best position in diving since 1948.

In Rhythmic Gymnastics, Habiba Marzouk will perform in  the qualifying round of the Ball and Hoop events at 03:20 Cairo time (01:30 GMT), before playing in the Clubs event at 07:50 Cairo time (05:500 GMT)

30 minutes later, Marzouk will perform in the all individual All-Around and Ribbon events.  

In Modern Pentathlon, Amira Kandil and Haidi Adel Morsi  will have a busy day on Friday which see them play in the Women's swimming 200m heats at 07:30 Cairo time (05:30 GMT) before playing the Women's fencing Bonus round  45 minutes later.

At 10:15 Cairo time the duo will participate in the Women's riding show jumping Ranking round, before playing in the Laser run final at 12:30 Cairo time (GMT 10:30)

In Equestrian, the Egyptian team will perform in the Jumping team men qualifying round that will start at 12:00 Cairo time (10:00 GMT).

30 minutes later, Egypt synchronized team to play the Preliminary round of the Teams technical routine event.
