Egypt claimed their first victory in the tournament on Saturday, with a brilliant second-half volley from Mohamed Salah giving them a 1-0 win over Guinea-Bissau.
They made a disappointing start to their campaign, losing 1-0 to Nigeria in their opening Group D clash last Tuesday.
"I congratulate all Egyptians after the victory over Guinea-Bissau," Trezeguet told beIN Sports.
"I promise our fans that we will improve in the coming games, as our target remains winning the Nations Cup title."
Egypt lie second in Group D with three points, three behind leaders and already-qualified Nigeria. Guinea-Bissau and Sudan have one point apiece.
The Pharaohs need just a draw against Sudan on Tuesday to qualify for the last 16.
"The game against Sudan will be difficult and we will do our best to win," Trezeguet added.
