Morocco coach Vahid Halilhodzic says his team is ready for the ‘tactical game’ against Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinal, insisting that the Atlas Lions are capable of stopping the danger of the Pharaohs’ talented skipper Mohamed Salah.

On Sunday, Egypt, who passed Cote d’Ivoire in round of 16, will be facing a highly anticipated quarter-final clash against the Moroccans, who defeated Malawi at the same round.

“The game will be like a tactical war. Egypt is an experienced team. Our attacking line suffered from some problems in the previous games, but I am confident that we will recover and become more effective as mistakes are not allowed in Sunday’s match,” the Bosnian coach said in the pre-match press conference on Saturday.

“Salah is a talented player but we have players who can stop him and halt his danger on the field,” the coach added about the Liverpool star winger.

“I will put the best plan and tactics to win and please all Moroccan fans,” he concluded.

The record seven-time African champions Egypt are seeking their first African Cup of Nations title since 2010, while Morocco seek their second ever AFCON title after their sole one secured in 1976.
