Earlier on Saturday, hundreds of people gathered for a pro-Palestinian demonstration in front of the BBC's New Broadcasting House to express solidarity with Palestinians as Israel continues an unprecedented deadly attack on the strip.
London’s Metropolitan Police deployed more than 1,000 officers in central London ahead of the march of Palestine supporters gathered in front of the BBC building waving Palestinian flags and chanting Free Free Palestine!
The protest comes as hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip were ordered by Israel to evacuate toward the south of the strip ahead of an imminent ground invasion.
The Israeli ultimatum triggered fear of another ethnic cleansing of Palestinians tantamount to the Palestinian Nakba of 1948.
Since Saturday, 7 October, Israel has launched a brutal war against Gaza after Palestinian militants attacked Israeli army camps and settlements in the Envelope of Gaza.
The Israeli ultimatum was condemned Friday by countries and organizations around the world.
Tens of thousands of people demonstrated Friday across the Middle East in support of the Palestinians and against the intensifying Israeli bombardment of Gaza, underscoring the risk of a wider regional conflict as Israel prepares for a possible ground invasion.
As of Friday, Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip killed more than 2,200 and wounded more than 8,700 including hundreds of women and children.
Israel also destroyed tens of residential buildings and entire neighborhoods in the strip leaving hundreds of thousands homeless.
It has also imposed a complete siege on the Palestinian enclave that has stopped water, food, and electricity from reaching about 2.3 million Palestinians.
