Palestinian president withdraws from Quartet summit heads back to Ramallah
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has decided to return to Ramallah and not participate in the Quartet summit scheduled to be held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, on Wednesday. This decision follows the casualties and injuries resulting from an Israeli airstrike on the Gaza Baptist Ahli hospital.

Abbas was expected to participate in the Quartet summit with the presence of U.S. President Joe Biden, King Abdullah II of Jordan, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip.
