Detainees were apprehended due to suspected "incitement" on social media platforms, WAFA added.

Home raids and searches have been conducted across multiple areas, including Bethlehem, Hebron, Jenin, Nablus, Ramallah, Jerusalem, and other Palestinian towns and cities.

Citing the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Authority, WAFA noted that a quarter of those detained in the West Bank since the outbreak of the war are minors and elderly people.

The Israeli military said over 200 Hamas members have been apprehended in the West Bank since the 7 October attack.

Prominent Palestinian artist Dalal Abu Amneh was arrested in Nazareth on Tuesday. Israeli police cited her social media posts as the reason for her detention, where she expressed support for Palestine and condemned Israeli actions.

Among the detainees are journalists, politicians, released prisoners, and workers from the Gaza Strip.

On Wednesday, demonstrators in the West Bank governorates protested against the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, where thousands of Palestinians have lost their lives or sustained injuries.

According to the Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, Addameer, there were 5,200 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli custody in September, including 33 women and 170 children.
