Two French children have died in the north of the Gaza Strip, French Foreign Ministry said Tuesday, reiterating its call for a humanitarian pause in the Israeli ongoing war on Gaza.

The foreign ministry said the children's mother was thought to be suffering from injuries, along with her third child, adding that the French consulate in Jerusalem had so far not managed to establish contact with the mother.

The number of Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes in Gaza has risen to 8,525, including 3,542 children, 2,187 women, and dozens of health personnel, rescue workers, and journalists, according to the Palestinian health ministry.

For the 25th day, Israeli continues to strike all parts of the Gaza Strip, with a specific focus on northern Gaza and a ground incursion to divide the north from the south.

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues to reject ceasefire calls, using biblical rhetoric to justify the conflict, which has raised concerns of ethnic cleansing according to UN reports.
