20:15 Gaza's Hamas government suspended the evacuation of foreign passport holders to Egypt for a second day in a row Sunday after Israel refused to allow some injured Palestinians to be evacuated, Egyptian and Palestinian officials said.
"The terminal is closed because Israel prohibits the wounded from crossing into Egypt for treatment," a source within Gaza's Hamas government told AFP under the condition of anonymity.
"No foreigners will be able to leave as long as the injured are stranded" in Gaza, the source added.
An official on the Egyptian side of the Rafah terminal confirmed to AFP that no evacuations took place on Sunday.
20:00 Gaza's Hamas government said the Israeli army was carrying out "intense bombings" on Sunday evening around several hospitals in the north of the Gaza Strip, shortly after telecommunications were cut.
"For more than an hour, intense bombings have been taking place around hospitals," said Salama Marouf, the head of the Hamas government's media office.

19:20 Gaza fell under its third total communications outage since the start of the war on Sunday night, with Palestinian communications company Paltel saying all of its communication and internet services were down. Internet access advocacy group NetBlocks.org reported a “new collapse in connectivity” across the besieged enclave.
“We have lost communication with the vast majority of the UNRWA team members," U.N. Palestinian refugee agency spokesperson Juliette Touma told The Associated Press. The first Gaza outage lasted 36 hours and the second one for a few hours.

The Ministry said that more than 50% of the housing units in Gaza were destroyed and nearly 70% of its residents were displaced. 16 out of 35 hospitals that could receive patients stopped working, 42 UNRWA buildings were damaged, and at least seven churches and 55 mosques were damaged.
At the same time, Israel accuses Hamas of placing infrastructure in tunnels under civilian areas. Israel says it has struck more than 11,000 “targets belonging to terrorist organizations” in Gaza and dropped more than 10,000 shells on Gaza City alone since October 7, when it began its campaign.
17:40 U.S. forces shot down another one-way attack drone Sunday that was targeting American and coalition troops near their base in Tel Baider, Syria, a U.S. official said on the condition of anonymity because the official was not authorized to discuss the strike.
There was no information immediately available on the origin of the attack drone, but it marked at least the 32nd attack on U.S. and coalition military facilities in Iraq and Syria since Oct. 17. To date there have been at least 17 attacks in Iraq and 15 in Syria. At least 21 service members have been injured by the attacks but all have returned to duty, the Pentagon said.

Dozens of residents scrambled to remove the wounded and dead trapped under the rubble. Young men rushed carrying the wounded to ambulances near the school, which took them to Al-Aqsa Hospital. Hospital workers told The Associated Press that at least 13 people died.
The Bureij refugee camp is home to an estimated 46,000 people. Many Palestinians fleeing northern Gaza have stayed in refugee camps and schools as temporary shelters.
15:45 The Lebanese militant group Hezbollah said it targeted an Israeli military vehicle across the border with guided missiles Sunday, killing and wounding its crew members.
The Israeli military confirmed in a statement that an antitank missile was launched from Lebanon at Yiftah in northern Israel, and said it was striking the sources of fire. It did not confirm whether there were casualties.
Hezbollah announced several other missile launches Sunday and said it had destroyed Israeli equipment along the border. The Israeli military said Israel’s Iron Dome defense system had intercepted a drone flying toward Israel from Lebanon.

14:00 The Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas decried Israel's "genocide" in the Gaza Strip, in remarks to visiting US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
"I have no words to describe the genocide and destruction suffered by our Palestinian people in Gaza at the hands of Israel's war machine, with no regard for the principles of international law," Abbas told Blinken in Ramallah.
Abou Mazen said that there must be an “immediate ceasefire” and humanitarian aid allowed to enter the Gaza Strip, his spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeineh said. A call which the US has consistently resisted untill now.
Blinken told Abbas that Palestinians in Gaza "must not be forcibly displaced," a State Department spokesman said.
State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said the pair also discussed "the need to stop extremist violence against Palestinians" in the West Bank.
According to a senior US official, reported by Reuters, Blinken told Abbas that the Palestinian Authority must play a pivotal role in Gaza, in the future.
The Palestinian president said Sunday that the Palestinian Authority could return to power in the Gaza Strip only if a "comprehensive political solution" is found for the Israel-Palestinian conflict.
"We will fully assume our responsibilities within the framework of a comprehensive political solution that includes all of the West Bank, including east Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip," Abbas told visiting US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, the official Palestinian news agency Wafa reported.
13:45 Iran said that the United States would "be hit hard" if Washington did not implement a ceasefire in Gaza, the country's Minister of Defense was quoted as saying by the semi-official Tasnim news agency on Sunday.

For the past weeks, entry points into Gaza have been virtually sealed except through the Rafah border crossing point. While there has been a steady increase in aid entering Gaza, it is nowhere near enough to meet the exponentially growing needs.
"Right now, parents in Gaza do not know whether they can feed their children today and whether they will even survive to see tomorrow. The suffering just meters away is unfathomable standing on this side of the border," said Cindy McCain as she returned from the Rafah border crossing in Egypt.
