On Sunday, Israeli forces raided the town of Burqa in Ramallah. During the raid, they wounded and arrested Montaser Mohammed Saif, 34, who later died from the wounds, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
They also searched several homes and arrested the local Fatah secretary.
Also on Sunday, the Israeli army wounded two young men while storming the city of Tubas, southeast of Jenin, Palestinian television reported.
They also stormed the Qalandiya camp in northern Jerusalem, firing teargas at homes.
On Saturday, Israeli forces shot and killed three Palestinians, one from Jenin and two from Arraba, a town southwest of Jenin, the health ministry said.
During the raid on Jenin, Israeli forces deployed military vehicles and bulldozers, WAFA said.
They vandalized roads and other infrastructure, destroying power transformers sending the city and nearby refugee camp into darkness.
The Palestinian death toll in the West Bank since 7 October has climbed to 186, more than in the whole of 2022, according to UN figures.
Of these, eight were killed by Israeli settlers.
Meanwhile, nearly 1,000 Palestinians have been displaced from their homes by settlers.
The escalation of settler violence has prompted an international outcry, including from the Biden administration and Volker Turk, the UN high commissioner for human rights.
“I appeal as a matter of urgency for Israeli authorities to take immediate measures to take steps to ensure the protection of Palestinians in the West Bank who are being on a daily basis subjected to violence from Israeli forces and settlers, ill-treatment, arrests, evictions, intimidation and humiliation,” Turk said.
