Saudi Arabia’s Prince Turki Al-Faisal Al-Saud on Saturday expressed frustration toward Israel’s war on Gaza, noting that it is a “symptom” of the international community's failure to address the "Palestinian question" and their struggle for statehood.

“All of us have failed in solving the Palestinian question and the war is the symptom of this failure,” the former head of Saudi’s General Intelligence Directorate (GID) said, addressing leaders and policymakers at the IISS 2023 Manama Dialogue held in Bahrain.

“It is obvious that without fulfilling the Palestinians’ right to self-determination, this region will never be at peace,” he stressed.

Turki Al-Faisal's remarks come as Israel pushes forward with its air and ground invasion of the Gaza Strip. He is currently the chairman of the King Faisal Foundation's Center for Research and Islamic Studies.

Bahrain’s Manama Dialogue, held annually since 2004, has allowed a space for national leaders, ministers, and policymakers to hold talks on Middle East security challenges and to collaborate on policies.

The 19th edition of the dialogue is being held between 17–19 November.
