"We stand united with our sister Egypt in one trench. The position expressed today by my brother, President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, to the effect that Egypt rejects deporting our Palestinian brothers, considering such deportation a red line, embodies our shared position," King Abdullah said late Thursday in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) official account.

The king added that in terms of the history of its solidarity with the Arab world, Egypt's position will be immortalized.

During an event in support of Palestine held at Cairo International Stadium, El-Sisi, speaking before thousands of Egyptians, said the deportation of Palestinians is a red line for Egypt, and it will not be permitted.

"We strongly oppose the relocation of Palestinians to Egypt or Jordan," he said.

El-Sisi added that “this (Israeli) escalation adopts collective punishment and commits massacres as a means to impose a reality on the ground, leading to the liquidation of the issue, the deportation of the (Palestinian) people, and the seizure of land.”

More than 14,854 people, including 6,150 children and 4,000 women, were killed since the start of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, according to a late Thursday tally reported by Gaza's government media office. The office also stated that the number of wounded has risen to more than 36000, more than two-thirds of whom are women and children.

The number of missing persons as a result of the Israeli aggression is estimated at 7,000, including no less than 4,700 children and women, the media office added.
