Gaza’s Civil Defense announced on Sunday that approximately 1,760 Palestinian bodies, killed in Israel’s assault on Gaza, have evaporated due to the Israeli army’s use of internationally banned weapons.

“We have observed the evaporation of the bodies of 1,760 martyrs due to the (Israeli) occupation’s use of internationally prohibited weapons,” Gaza’s Civil Defense said at a press conference in Deir al-Balah.

The Civil Defense also reported that Israel has obstructed the recovery of more than 7,000 bodies by targeting most areas of Gaza.

Additionally, around 2,210 bodies have vanished from various cemeteries across Gaza and from areas where the Israeli army is active.

Over 10,000 Palestinians remain missing under the rubble and cannot be recovered because Israel is blocking the entry of necessary equipment, the Civil Defense added.

Accordingly, the Civil Defense called on the UN to step in and provide the much-needed fuel, equipment, and spare parts to keep its operations running.

Torn to pieces

Palestinian health authorities reported on Sunday that Israeli army attacks killed about 20 Palestinians, including women and children, across various areas of the Gaza Strip.

The latest casualties include a Palestinian woman and her six children, who died in an Israeli airstrike on a residential apartment in Deir al-Balah, according to Reuters and the German News Agency dpa.

Medical sources told dpa that the bodies were transferred in torn pieces to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah.

Additionally, four Palestinians were killed in an Israeli strike on a house in Nuseirat camp, while four others died in an Israeli attack on a house in Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Younis, dpa reported, citing medical sources at Nasser Hospital.

Another Palestinian woman was killed in an Israeli strike on a house in the al-Sabra neighbourhood of Gaza City.

Four more Palestinians were killed in two separate Israeli attacks on residential apartments in the Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip, dpa said, citing medical sources.

That says something about Gaza where Israel's assault has killed at least 40,099 Palestinians, mostly women and children, according to Gaza's health ministry.

The toll included 25 deaths in the past 24 hours, with ministry figures also reporting 92,609 people wounded in Israel’s 10-month-long war on Gaza.
