Palestinian telecommunications operators issued a statement confirming the suspension of home internet services, attributing the outage to ongoing Israeli military aggression.
"We regret to announce the suspension of home internet services in the central and southern areas of the Gaza Strip due to the ongoing Israeli aggression," the statement read.
The blackout has further isolated residents amid escalating Israeli hostilities in the region.
Over the past 11 months, the Israeli army has systematically destroyed almost all communication infrastructure in Gaza as part of its ongoing military aggression against the strip. The destruction has left much of the region in a state of isolation, further compounding the humanitarian crisis.
Rights groups and international observers have raised alarms, warning that the lack of communication has plunged the area into darkness, with civilians facing Israeli violence without access to basic means of communication. Accusations against Israel of genocide and calls for holding it accountable have intensified as the situation worsens.
