The Israeli occupation forces and terrorist colonists have killed 759 Palestinians, including 165 children and 18 women, in the West Bank and Jerusalem since the Israeli war on Gaza began on 7 October 2023, the Palestinian Ministry of Health revealed on Sunday.

In a statement, the ministry added that over 6,500 Palestinians were injured during the same period, WAFA news agency reported.

In Gaza, the Israeli relentless aggression has killed at least 42,519 people and injured 99,637, with the majority of the fatalities being women and children.

Rescue teams are facing immense challenges in reaching thousands of victims still trapped under rubble or stranded in the streets.

Meanwhile, a Palestinian youth was killed last night after being struck by an Israeli military jeep in the town of Anabta, east of Tulkarm in the occupied West Bank.

WAFA reported that Kareem Imad Mzayid succumbed to his serious injuries after being run over while riding his motorcycle on the main street of the town.

Israeli army vehicles had stormed Anabta patrolling both main and secondary streets, obstructing traffic, and chasing several vehicles before the tragic incident occurred.

Ongoing provocative incursions into Al-Aqsa

Far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir along with hundreds of Israeli colonists stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound Sunday morning during the fourth day of the Jewish festival of Sukkot, supported by a significant presence of Israeli forces.

Local sources told WAFA that over 434 colonists broke into the mosque, performing religious rituals, while one colonist blew a shofar in the compound.

Israeli forces had earlier intensified their military measures in the Old City of Jerusalem, closing the access route from the Lions' Gate to the Mughrabi Gate and obstructing Muslim access to the Al-Aqsa Mosque to facilitate the colonists' entry.

The Israeli authorities often exploit Jewish holidays to impose restrictions on Palestinians, implementing collective punitive measures, such as closing checkpoints and increasing military presence, which hinders the movement of residents and prevents them from reaching their holy sites.

Moreover, the Israeli forces detained on Sunday six Palestinians from the village of Beit Ijza, northwest of Jerusalem.

Since 7 October, Israel has detained more than 11,300 Palestinians from Jerusalem and the West Bank.
