The Palestinian group also denounced the ongoing actions of the fascist occupation army in executing the criminal Generals' Plan in northern Gaza.
The Generals' Plan targets forcing all civilians out of northern Gaza, labeling anyone remaining there a combatant — a surrender-or-starve strategy that rights groups refuse as violation of international law.
The plan, which derives its name from its masterminds, a group of former generals, has been presented to the Israeli government, according to media reports.
It is unclear whether it has been adopted. The Israeli army says it has not received such orders.
In its statement, Hamas underlined the Israeli siege on schools and hospitals, the perpetration of massacres against innocent Gazaan civilians and displaced individuals, and the execution of forced displacement operations.
The Israeli actions have been carried out “in plain view of the entire world,” read the statement.
“The daily massacres, comprehensive destruction, forced displacement, ethnic cleansing, and brutal targeting of schools, shelters, and hospitals, including the displaced, sick, and wounded, witnessed in Jabalia, its camp, Beit Lahia project, and northern Gaza is a flagrant violation of all laws, regulations, and norms,” the statement added.
Hamas attributes the continuity of the Israeli aggression to the silence and inaction of the international community, and the complicit behavior of the US administration in the crimes of the Zionist enemy, the statement noted.
Fifteen Palestinians, including women and children, were killed and others injured in an Israeli drone strike on the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, Palestinian news agency WAFA reported today, citing the Red Crescent and medical sources.
Hamas called on Arab and Islamic peoples and all free people in the world to exert maximum pressure on Israel and its Western supporters to halt ”the crime of the era” unfolding in Gaza and thwart the fascist occupation's plans aimed at displacing the Palestinians people and liquidating the Palestinian cause.
Since 7 October 2023, Israel has killed 42,603 Palestinians and injured 99,759. The majority of the victims were women and children.
Emergency services are still unable to reach many casualties and dead bodies trapped under the rubble or scattered on roads across the war-torn territory, as Israeli occupation forces continue to obstruct the movement of ambulance and civil defence crews.
The entirety of northern Gaza is under Israeli evacuation orders to flee south, even though there is nowhere safe for people to flee bombardments.
