The rain caused extensive damage to temporary tents set up for families who lost their homes in the conflict. Among the worst-hit areas were the Yarmouk Stadium refugee camp, Gaza City's Municipal Park, and the Al-Shati refugee camp.
Rescue teams also reported flooding and damage in Khan Younis, areas near Al-Aqsa University, the Shakush area in Rafah, and coastal sections of Deir al-Balah.

The destruction of Gaza's infrastructure has worsened the situation, with broken drainage systems failing to handle floodwaters. Rescue teams warned of further disasters, particularly in low-lying areas prone to flooding. They expressed concerns over the stability of using bomb-damaged buildings as makeshift shelters.
WAFA report also stated that the humanitarian organizations are urgently appealing for additional shelters, such as tents and caravans, to shield families from winter weather. They have warned that the situation could deteriorate without swift action, placing thousands at greater risk.

The ongoing war, compounded by Gaza's damaged infrastructure and an enduring blockade, has left displaced Palestinians in refugee camps and shelters facing dire humanitarian conditions, with calls for immediate international intervention growing louder.
According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), an estimated 1.9 million Palestinians in Gaza (90 percent of the population) are now displaced, with many experiencing multiple forced displacements as a result of persistent Israeli relocation orders.
Since 7 Oct. 2023, the Israeli brutal military campaign on the Gaza Strip has killed at least 44,211 people, most of them women and children, with more than 104,567 others injured, according to the Palestinian health ministry's latest figures.
Also, more than 10,000 civilians have been reported missing under the rubble.
