Medical sources reported that three fatalities and two injured Palestinians arrived at Al-Ahli Arab Hospital (Baptist Hospital) after being hit by Israeli gunfire and shelling in the Al-Shuja’iya neighbourhood, east of Gaza City, according to Palestinian news agency Sama.
The sources added that the Israeli army had killed seven people and wounded eight others over the past 48 hours in Gaza. This includes six people killed in Israeli airstrikes and the recovery of one body, Sama stated.
The Israeli occupation forces have killed at least 120 Palestinians, wounded 490 others, and committed over 400 violations of the ceasefire/prisoner swap agreement in Gaza since the deal went into effect on 19 January, according to the Gaza government media office.
In a separate incident on Sunday, an Israeli drone strike targeted civilians in the Al-Za’fran area, east of the Al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza.
Moreover, Israeli army vehicles opened heavy fire on the Al-Sanati area, east of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza. A woman was injured in the attack.
Meanwhile, Israel maintained its closure of all border crossings with Gaza for the ninth consecutive day, preventing all goods, including food and medicines, from reaching Palestinians desperately in need of aid after a 16-month genocidal war and starvation.
Netanyahu has imposed a full blockade on the strip to pressure Hamas into more concessions in the ceasefire deal.
According to the Quds News Network, six bakeries in the city of Khan Younis have suspended their services due to a lack of fuel.
Two of the three desalination plants have shut down also due to fuel shortages, while the third operates at just five percent capacity.
