The strike, organized by the national and Islamic forces in the northern governorates of the West Bank, coincided with global actions urging a worldwide general strike to call for an end to the ongoing genocide in Gaza, WAFA news agency reported.
The strike paralyzed all aspects of daily life, with universities, schools, banks, businesses, and governmental and civil institutions closing their doors.
WFA said public transportation in the northern governorates was also disrupted, leaving streets nearly empty of vehicles and pedestrians.
Moreover, factories and industrial plants shut down their operations in solidarity with Gaza.
Meanwhile, activists on social media platforms have initiated calls for a global general strike in solidarity with the people of Gaza in response to the ongoing Israeli campaign of genocide.
