Displaced Palestinians fill water containers in the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis, on August 14, 2025, as international organisations have been working to provide people with clean water amid the worsening crisis and the spread of diseases due to poor sanitation in the Gaza Strip.

Medical sources at Al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat refugee camp reported that six people, including four children, were killed as a result of the Israeli occupation forces' bombing of a house in the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

An Israeli drone bombed a tent housing displaced persons in the Mawasi al-Qarara area, north of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, killing a man and his wife.

Israel's war on Gaza has killed at least 61,827 Palestinians, according to figures from the health ministry in Hamas-run Gaza, which the United Nations considers reliable.

In recent days, Gaza City residents have told AFP of more frequent air strikes targeting residential areas, while earlier this week, Hamas denounced "aggressive" Israeli ground incursions in the area.

The Israeli government's plans to expand the war have sparked an international outcry as well as domestic opposition.
