The 60 bodies included two recovered from beneath the rubble of destroyed buildings, alongside 343 newly wounded patients.
Since Israel broke the ceasefire agreement on March 18, the territory has witnessed an additional 10,518 fatalities and 44,532 injuries, according to WAFA.
Medical officials confirmed to WAFA on Tuesday that the cumulative death toll in Gaza since the start of the Israeli war on Gaza has now reached 62,064, with the majority of victims being women and children. The overall number of injuries has climbed to 156,573, stretching Gaza’s already overwhelmed medical system far beyond capacity.
Health authorities stressed to WAFA that these figures do not fully capture the scale of devastation, as many victims remain trapped under collapsed buildings and debris.
The humanitarian cost of Israel’s targeting of starving Palestinians has also grown sharply. Over the past 24 hours, 31 people were killed and 197 were wounded while attempting to secure aid.
Beyond the immediate casualties of airstrikes and shelling, Gaza is also grappling with a worsening famine and public health catastrophe. Hospitals reported 3 new deaths in the last 24 hours due to hunger and malnutrition, pushing the overall toll from starvation to 266, including 112 children.
