Since 2 March, the occupation authorities have closed all crossings with the Gaza Strip, blocking the entry of most food and medical aid.

The Israeli blockade has caused widespread starvation within Gaza, prompting the UN to declare the first-ever famine in the Middle East in the strip.

Since 7 October 2023, the occupation forces have launched an offensive on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the killing of 62,686 Palestinians, the majority of whom were children and women, with 157,951 reported injured.
