Since dawn Tuesday, at least 22 Palestinians have been killed and others wounded in Israeli airstrikes targeting several areas of Gaza, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA and Al Jazeera.
Medical sources told WAFA that four people were killed and others wounded when Israeli warplanes bombed a residential building on Omar Al-Mukhtar Street in Gaza City’s Old City.
Five more Palestinians, including three children, were killed when Israeli armoured vehicles struck the home of the Al-Habil family in Al-Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City.
One civilian was also killed and five others, including two women, were wounded in an Israeli drone strike on Al-Bureij refugee camp. Additional injuries were reported in Nuseirat camp and the Netzarim area.
Moreover, two fishermen were killed by Israeli naval fire off the coast of Khan Younis, while in Gaza City’s Al-Sabra neighbourhood, Israeli forces detonated booby-trapped robots, causing further destruction.
Three children have died from malnutrition in southern Gaza, according to a source at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis who spoke to Al Jazeera.
Recently, the UN has declared a famine in Gaza due to Israel's starvation policy and blockade of food, water, and medicine.
Since Israel launched its genocidal war on Gaza, over 653,482 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed and over 166,985 injured.
Israeli forces have also attacked 38 hospitals since October 2023, killing at least 1,723 healthcare workers, according to Munir Al-Bursh, the Gaza Health Ministry’s director general.
