The journalist, Mahmoud Wadi, who used to film through a drone, was killed in the southern city of Khan Younis, the hospital said.

According to the sources, Wadi was struck by an 'Israeli' drone while documenting the situation in the area and died instantly.

Wadi was a popular wedding photographer in Khan Younis before turning to documenting the Israeli war on the strip after his Quds Studio was destroyed by Israeli bombardment.

The Israeli army has targeted and killed nearly 300 Palestinian journalists since the start of its genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023 in an effort to silence messengers.

The Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate condemned the most recent Israeli killing, saying it underscores the ongoing risks faced by media workers in Gaza.

Also on Tuesday, Israeli occupation forces shot and killed a man in Gaza in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, according to Al-Awda Hospital.

The Gaza Health Ministry said that Israeli occupation troops have killed more than 350 Palestinians across the strip since the start of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas on 10 October.

Earlier this week, the Palestinian health ministry said the death toll from the ongoing genocidal war climbed over 70,000 and the wounded over 173,000, mostly women and children.
