UN High Commissioner for Human Rights spokesperson Thameen Al-Kheetan
In a statement, Al-Kheetan emphasized the urgent need to respect ceasefire agreements in Gaza, Lebanon, and all other regions, stressing the importance of upholding international human rights law and international humanitarian law.
"Since the ceasefire in Gaza, the killing of Palestinians has continued," Al-Kheetan said.
He underscored that "all nations must work tirelessly to put an end to these violations and crimes under international law in Gaza."
In tens of violations, the Israeli occupation forces have killed more than 350 Palestinians and wounded hundreds since the start of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, brokered by Egypt, Qatar, Turkey and the US, on 10 October. In tandem, Tel Aviv has maintained restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid to the 2.3 million population in Gaza that has been facing famine conditions under an Israeli blockade and impeded the start of reconstruction efforts in the strip.
Last week, the Palestinian health ministry in Gaza announced that the death toll in the Israeli genocidal war in the strip reached 70,100 and the wounded over 173,000, most of them women and children.
Al-Kheetan also called on all those with influence to use their power to pressure the Israeli government to end the war in Gaza, implement the decisions of the International Court of Justice, end the illegal Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories, halt the ongoing violations, and hold those responsible accountable.
