The aircraft carried 3,200 food parcels and essential food aid for Palestinians in Gaza, in cooperation with Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, as part of the UAE’s humanitarian efforts to support the Palestinian people.
An official source said on Thursday that the shipment was being unloaded and transported by trucks to logistical warehouses in El-Arish ahead of its entry into Gaza in coordination with the Egyptian Red Crescent.
The “Humaid Air Bridge” initiative was launched under the directives of Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, in cooperation with Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, to provide urgent food assistance to Palestinians in Gaza through relief flights arriving in El-Arish before being transferred to the strip.
Since the start of the Israeli war on Gaza, El Arish International Airport has received 1,075 aid planes carrying more than 27,000 tonnes of humanitarian assistance from 59 Arab and foreign countries, as well as regional and international organizations.
Since Israel launched its genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023, Egypt has delivered nearly one million tons of humanitarian assistance to the strip, representing around 70 percent of all aid sent to Gaza, supported by the efforts of over 65,000 ERC volunteers.
Meanwhile, Israel has continued its brutal attacks against Palestinians, violating the ceasefire agreement brokered by Egypt, the US, Qatar, and Turkey in October 2025.
On Monday, the UN demanded that Israel take measures to prevent acts of genocide in Gaza and decried indications of "ethnic cleansing" in the strip and in the occupied West Bank.
In a report, the UN rights office said Israel's actions in Gaza since the start of the war involved "gross violations" of international law, amounting in many cases to "war crimes and other atrocity crimes."
Since October 2023, Israel's war on Gaza has killed 72,763 Palestinians and wounded 172,664 others, most of them women and children, and enforced a deadly blockade on the strip that triggered a famine.
