The Israeli strike that targeted a tent sheltering displaced families near the Al-Rimal Boys’ Preparatory School in the Al-Rimal neighbourhood in Gaza City killed seven civilians, including two women, and wounded at least 15 others, mostly children.

The city's Al-Shifa Hospital also reported receiving six bodies.

Further south, a 25-year-old man, Muhannad Othman Farwana, was killed in the morning in an Israeli strike on the roof of a house, ust before he was due to get married later in the day, his cousin Mohammed Farwana said.

Muhannad was due to tie the knot with Esraa Naggar, an engineer, in a ceremony that had been scheduled for 6 pm on Saturday, according to an image of his wedding invitation.

"The whole family was ready to celebrate his wedding. Now, we're attending his funeral instead of his marriage," he told AFP.

The civil defence announced in the evening a ninth person killed in an Israeli strike in southeast Gaza City, identifying him as a 37-year-old man.

The Israeli occupation forces have killed nearly 1,000 Palestinians and wounded hundreds in daily violations of the 11 October 2025 ceasefire betwen Israel and Hamas.

Israel's genocidal war on Gaza has so far killed more than 72,900 Palestinians and wounded over 200,000 others mostly children and women, since October 2023.
