Nine Palestinians, including two children, were killed and several others were wounded on Sunday as Israeli warplanes and helicopters struck multiple locations across the territory, according to Palestinian media reports.
A local source said three Palestinians, including a child, were killed when an Israeli strike hit a residential apartment in the Al-Mawasi area of Al-Qarara town, northwest of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
In central Gaza, an elderly man and his wife were killed, and several others were injured after an Israeli helicopter struck a residential apartment in the Al-Mashaala area, south of Deir Al-Balah.
Another Israeli helicopter strike on an apartment in Al-Sousi Tower, west of Gaza City, killed a man, his wife and their child. Elsewhere, Israeli forces shot dead a man on Deir Al-Latin Street in Gaza City's Old City.
The latest fatalities came a day after eight Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting several areas across the Gaza Strip on Saturday.
The attacks came despite Trump's announcement, made alongside the Board of Peace, that an agreement had been reached to implement the next phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement brokered in Egypt last year.
Palestinian group Hamas said on Friday it had agreed to a plan championed by Trump that includes provisions for handing over its weapons and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip.
Israel has not officially commented on the agreement. However, a political source told AFP that "there will be no withdrawal whatsoever" without Hamas's "genuine disarmament."
Although a ceasefire agreement was reached on 10 October 2025, Israel has continued military operations in Gaza. According to Palestinian figures, at least 1,222 Palestinians have been killed and 4,053 injured since the truce took effect.
According to Palestinian health authorities, the total death toll from the ongoing Israeli genocidal war on Gaza has risen to 73,349, with 174,162 others injured since 7 October 2023.
