The shipment included 1,266 tonnes of food parcels and flour, around 1,135 tonnes of relief and medical supplies, and more than 1,349 tonnes of fuel needed to operate hospitals and other vital facilities in the strip, the ERC said.
The convoy was dispatched as Gaza continues to face an acute humanitarian crisis despite the October 2025 ceasefire.
Thousands of families remain without information about missing relatives, while the territory lacks DNA-testing facilities and has severely limited forensic capacity, according to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
The ICRC said specialized equipment and sustained coordination among several organizations are needed to locate missing people and systematically identify bodies recovered from beneath the rubble.
The Palestinian health ministry estimated in August that more than 8,000 people remained missing under the rubble. However, the figure does not include everyone whose whereabouts are unknown, including those who may have been displaced, detained, or killed without their deaths being recorded.
The ICRC warned that identifying Gaza’s missing could take years, with some families potentially never learning what happened to their relatives.
The latest shipment followed the 268th Gaza aid convoy, which was dispatched on Monday carrying food, medicines, relief materials, and fuel.
The ERC serves as Egypt's national mechanism for coordinating and delivering humanitarian assistance to Palestinians in Gaza. It has maintained a permanent presence along the border since the outbreak of the crisis, keeping its logistics centres ready and intensifying efforts to prepare and facilitate aid deliveries.
Egyptian humanitarian and relief assistance delivered to Gaza has exceeded one million tonnes since October 2023, with more than 75,000 ERC volunteers participating in the operation, according to the organization.
The Zad Al-Ezza initiative was launched on 27 July 2025 as part of Egypt’s continuing humanitarian response to the war and deteriorating living conditions in the strip.
Recent shipments included more than 3,292 tonnes of aid in the 267th convoy and 3,456 tonnes of assistance in the 265th convoy.
