Mughe, who joined French side Olympique de Marseille last summer, has struggled for playing time with the Ligue 1 club, featuring for only 201 minutes since the start of the season.

According to local media, the 19-year-old has expressed his desire to focus on his club commitments.

Ngamaleu has played 49 matches for the Indomitable Lions, scoring four goals since making his international debut in 2015.

He was a regular starter for the Cameroonian team that finished fourth in the 2021 tournament held at home.

The 29-year-old has scored three goals in 21 appearances for Dynamo Moscow across all competitions so far this season.

Cameroon have been drawn into a tough group that includes defending champions Senegal, Guinea, and Gambia.
