The Stuttgart striker had suffered a thigh injury during Guinea's 2-0 victory over Nigeria in a friendly in the UAE on Monday.
Concerns arose when Guirassy left the pitch after just 26 minutes, casting doubt on his participation in the continental competition.
However, scans revealed that his injury is minor, and he is expected to be fit to play in the Nations Cup.
"Injured against Nigeria in a preparation match in Abu Dhabi, the striker felt a stretching sensation in his right thigh," stated a release from Guinea's medical staff on Wednesday.
"MRI scans revealed a minor strain. He is not experiencing any pain but will continue to be monitored by the medical team, who will assess the situation on a daily basis."
Guirassy, who joined Stuttgart from Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais last summer, has been in impressive form for his new team, scoring 17 goals in 14 league games.
He currently lie second in the list of the Bundesliga top scorers behind Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane, who has scored 21 goals.
Guinea will begin their Nations Cup campaign with a challenging match against Cameroon on Monday in the Group C opener.
The group also includes defending champions Senegal and Gambia.
