According to local media in Cameroon, the 31-year-old Besiktas striker didn’t complete Friday’s training session after being injured.

The reports added that the top scorer of the AFCON 2021 is likely to miss this edition in Cote d Ivoire as the injury is not a minor one, according to initial scans.

No official announcement from the Cameroonian team is out yet.

Cameroon have been drawn into a tough group alongside defending champions Senegal, Guinea, and Gambia.

The Indomitable Lions will kick off their campaign by facing Guinea on Monday before facing Senegal on 19 January and finally facing Gambia four days later.
