Both teams seek their first win in the tournament as Egypt salvaged a 2-2 draw against Mozambique, and Ghana fell 2-1 to Cape Verde. Despite the setback, Badu remains optimistic about the Black Stars' chances against Egypt.

"Playing against Egypt will be a very crucial game, they drew against Mozambique and will now want the points against Ghana," Badu told Citi News.

“The Black Stars also need to win against Egypt, but I think it will be difficult against Egypt, it is a crucial game on Thursday, but I am very optimistic that with the right start and preparations, we can sail through against them.” He added.

With both teams boasting an impressive AFCON finals record – nine appearances between them, seven victories for Egypt, and four for Ghana – the stage is set for a fiercely contested battle. Kick-off on Thursday promises a captivating spectacle for fans eagerly awaiting a pivotal clash that could significantly impact both teams' fortunes in the tournament.
