"Our gameplan failed. We did not anticipate this scenario, but I congratulate Morocco for their impressive performance and the result," Amrouche stated during the post-match press conference.

Morocco's Romain Saiss scored in the first half, and with Tanzania reduced to ten men after Novatus Miroshi's dismissal, Azzedine Ounahi and Youssef En-Nesyri extended the lead for the Atlas Lions.

"The quality of Morocco's players made the difference, and they deserved the victory," admitted Amrouche.

The Algerian coach expressed his disappointment with the injuries that affected his squad before the game, which hindered Tanzania's aspirations.

"We aimed for a positive outcome but faced numerous injuries that did not work in our favour. Additionally, we made individual mistakes," explained Amrouche.

Nevertheless, Amrouche remained optimistic about Tanzania's chances of progressing from Group F.

"I'm maintaining a positive outlook. We will learn from the mistakes made in this match and shift our focus to the upcoming games," Amrouche affirmed.

"It won't be an easy task, but we still have an opportunity," he added.

Tanzania's upcoming crucial group encounter will be against the 2012 AFCON champions, Zambia, on 21 January.
