Speaking at the post-match news conference on Thursday, Vitoria stated,
"We delivered a strong performance against Ghana, especially in the second half. We played to win, and I am incredibly proud of my players' performance and their fighting spirit."
He further added, "The team's performance has been improving from game to game, and we played well against a tough opponent like Ghana."
Regarding Mohamed Salah's injury, which forced him to leave the pitch just before halftime, the Portuguese coach revealed that the Liverpool star is experiencing hamstring pain, which prompted his substitution.
Egypt will conclude their group stage campaign on Monday when they face Cape Verde.
