The Egyptian national team are finalising their trainings for a Chile friendly early on Saturday, amid preparations for qualifiers for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The players appeared enthusiastic to deliver a good performance against the South American team, who are preparing for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Egypt, who failed to qualify for the last two successive editions of the tournament, will be competing in Group G with powerful Tunisia and Senegal alongside the winners of match 39 and 40.

The Pharaohs will also play Jamaica on 4 June before their qualifiers start in December.

Shawky Gharib was appointed as Egypt's coach in November after former manager, American Bob Bradley, resigned from his post upon failing to reach the 2014 World Cup.

He has led the team only once so far, in a friendly against Bosnia in March which Egypt won 2-0.

Egypt are the record winners of the Nations Cup with seven titles under their belt, winning in 1957, 1959, 1986, 1998, 2006, 2008 and 2010.
