2015 African Cup of Nations' hosts Morocco have lodged an appeal with the Confederation of African Fooball (CAF) to postpone the tournament due to the Ebola epidemic.
Morocco's health ministry made the plea citing "events which involve those countries affected by the Ebola virus" after more than 4,000 people have been killed by the virus, which broke out in West Africa earlier this year.
It remains to be seen whether the African football governing body will postpone the continental event, due to take place between 17 January to 8 February.
One-time African champions Morocco hosted the biennial tournament only once — the 1988 edition which was won by Cameroon.
