Ahly's Spanish coach, Juan Carlos Garrido is pleased with recovering from a woeful start to the Egyptian Premier League campaign with an exciting 4-2 win over Damanhour on Saturday.

The Cairo giants' striker Emad Meteb scored a hat-trick to help Ahly to claim their second win in the Egyptian Premier League this season.

"I am happy for the players' performance during the win over Damanhour as well as their concentration throughout the game," Garrido was quoted as saying after the game.

Ahly played five games as they won two and then lost two and drew in one to reach 11th in the Egyptian Premier league teams' table with eight points.

"All teams that face Ahly are playing on do or die game so we suffer from a tough defence during the games," he added.

"I thank players for their performance and beating Damanhour." the Ahly tactician concluded.
