Egyptian league champions Zamalek are seeking to end the season on a high when they face Wadi Degla on Monday in the final match of the competition.
The Whites ended an 11-year drought after clinching their 12th Egyptian League title recently, beating off competition from rivals and title-holders Ahly, who were eyeing their ninth successive title.
They are leading the league table with a record 86 points from 37 matches, eight ahead of Ahly.
Beating Degla will be a morale boost for the Cairo giants ahead of their trip to Congo to face Leopards in their fourth game of the of the African Confederation Cup group stage.
Zamalek took a huge stride towards booking a semi-final berth after claiming their third group-stage win with an easy 2-0 victory over Leopards at Cairo's Petrosport Stadium last week.
Zamalek coach Jesualdo Ferreira has decided to rest his key players in Monday's league match to have them fresh for continental clash.
They will already miss key duo Hazem Emam and Ayman Hefni due to suspension.
Degla, who have a good attacking record but a dismal defensive one, are fifth in the table.
