Egypt have announced squad for their preoperational closed camp ahead of Chad clash in 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers scheduled for 6 September.

The Pharaohs' coach Hector Cuper named a 27-man squad for the closed camp, including Ahly and Zamalek players, to choose the final squad ahead of the game.

"The training camp will kick off 24 August and will combine 27 players," the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) stated on their official website late Saturday.

Chad will host Egypt on 6 September as the Pharaohs will be looking to maintain their winning run in the Nations Cup qualifiers.

Egypt launched their campaign in the African qualifiers with a 3-0 win over Tanzania in Group's G opener in June.

The seven-time African champions, Egypt are looking to return to the African scene after missing the past three editions of the continental tournament.

The 27-man squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Sherif Ekrami (Ahly), Ahmed El-Shenawy (Zamalek), Ali Lotfy (ENPPI), Mahdy Soliman (Smouha)

Defenders: Saad Samir, Hussein El Sayed (Ahly), Ali Gabr, Omar Gaber, Hazem Emam, Hamada Tolba (Zamalek), Ahmed Hegazy (Fiorentina-Italy), Mohamed Abdel-Shafy (Ahly-Saudi Arabia), Rami Rabia (Sporting Lisbon-Portugal)

Midfielders: Saleh Gomaa, Ramadan Sbohi, Momen Zakarya (Ahly), Ahmed Tawfiq, Ibrahim Salah, Mahmoud Kahraba (Zamalek), Mohamed Elneny (Basel-Swiss), Mahmoud Trezeguet (Anderlecht-Belgian).

Strikers: Amr Gamal, Mahmoud Zaki (Ahly), Bassem Morsi, Ahmed Hassan Mekki (Zamalek), Mohamed Salah (Roma-Italy), Ahmed Hassan Koka (Rio Ave-Portugal)
