Egyptian squash player Nour El-Sherbini beat eight-time world champion Nicol David from Malaysia 3-2 to reach the Qatar classic final on Thursday.

It took an hour for the 20-year old to edge past David, 32, in a thrilling marathon 11/6, 10/12, 5/11, 11/4, 11/9.

It was the second time for El-Sherbini to beat living legend David during their six encounters.
