Nigeria coach Samson Siasia is adopting a “no fear” approach as his side prepare to face Egypt in the Nations Cup qualifiers, as he believes the Super Eagles have nothing to worry about in the double-header.

Nigeria will host the Pharaohs on 25 March in Kaduna before playing the following match four days later at Borg El-Arab stadium in Alexandria.

"I am full of confidence, and as long as the boys play to instruction, we do not have anything to worry about," Siasia was quoted as saying by Nigerian newspaper Vanguard‎.

The newly appointed coach, who will face Egypt with a full squad, believes that playing the first game at home would be an advantage for his side.

“I have spoken to the likes of Mikel, Moses, Odion, Iheanacho and others; they are all ready to play. They said: ‘Coach, we are coming to do it and play for you,’ which is a good assurance. So we want to go out there with a positive mind to make sure that we put smiles on the faces of Nigerians,” he said.

“We are playing at home and we must make sure that we win at home, no matter what it takes us. Egypt can’t beat us, I assure you that. So there is no need for panic.”

With only the group winners guaranteed automatic qualification for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, second-placed Nigeria have no choice but to beat group leaders Egypt to improve their position in the group.

Egypt are leading group G with six points, two ahead of second-placed Nigeria.
