Ahly's star midfielder Ramadan Sobhi is fit for Saturday's Cairo derby against Zamalek in the Egyptian Premier League after recovering from muscle fatigue, the club's football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz announced Friday.

The Red devils, who have already won the title, are seeking to end the domestic competition in style by beating their second-placed arch-rivals Zamalek.

"Ramadan participated in Thursday's training session within preparations for Zamalek game and nothing can prevent him from playing," Abdel-Hafiz said.

The 19-year-old Sobhi, who can operate as a winger or playmaker, came into the spotlight this season after putting in outstanding performances with Ahly and the Egyptian national team.

Throughout the season, Sobhi has been key in settling many matches in Ahly's favour thanks to his skills and physique, which have made him a favorite of the fans.

Sobhi, who came through the youth ranks of Ahly, made his debut with the Reds at only 17. He scored five goals with the Cairo giants in the domestic league this season.

Although the game is not crucial for Ahly, Dutch coach Martin Jol is looking to win his first Cairo derby.

"Ahly players know well the importance of the game for the team's supporters amid the competition between the two sides," Ahly's football director added.
