Zamalek coach Mohamed Helmi (Ahram)
Zamalek chairman Mortada Mansour has confirmed that coach Mohamed Helmi will remain in his post and will not leave.
"Some changes will be made in the technical staff but Helmi agreed to continue as manager, Mansour stated through the club's official website Wednesday.
Zamalek have announced earlier this week they are in contact with three foreign coaches to succeed Helmi in case he wanted to step down.
Under Helmi, who became Zamalek coach only a few weeks ago, the Whites lost an important Cairo derby against arch-rivals Ahly 2-0 in the last match-day of the Egyptian Premier League's first round.
With two games in hand, Zamalek are third in the table with 34 points, 11 behind leaders Ahly who led the table.
