New Ismaily coach Sebastien Desabre (official facebook page)
Egyptian side Ismaily has appointed Frenchman Sebastien Desabre as new head coach on a one-year deal, the club announced on Monday.
The 40-year old tactician will succeed interim coach Abou-Taleb El-Isawi, who led the team in the final games of the season.
Ismaily announced the news on their official twitter account just after their final game against Ittihad of Alexandria, which ended with a 1-0 win.
"New challenge. Very happy to sign in Egypt with the club of Ismaily SC," the new coach wrote on his official facebook page.
Desabre has been moving around in Africa since 2010 where he won honours with Recreativo do Libolo in Angola, with Esperance in Tunisia, Asec in Ivory Coast and Wydad in Morocco.
He has been a free agent since January 2017 when he left Wydad Casablanca after leading the team to the 2016 CAF Champions League semi-final.
Ismaily – who have won three Egyptian Premier League titles – finished fifth of the table and hope to mount a serious challenge for the title next season.
