Egypt's red-hot winger Mohamed Salah was tight-lipped over his future on Wednesday following an explosive start to his Liverpool tenure which saw him top the Premier League scoring charts with 13 goals in 16 games.

Salah was named BBC's African Player of the Year on Monday and is also tipped to land CAF's prestigious prize for the best player in the continent after enjoying a year to remember.

He avoided giving a straight answer when a Liverpool reporter asked him about his future plans.

"I will say at the end of the season, but now I'm quiet and I keep it to myself! We'll see at the end of the season," Salah told Liverpool's official website.

The 25-year-old netted his 13th Premier Legaue goal in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Everton in the Merseyside derby. He said Liverpool were determined to make up for the draw by beating West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday.

"The next game is an important game for us at home. We have to get the three points and look forward," he added.

By scoring against Everton, Salah scored 19 goals this season in just 24 games in all competitions.
