Egypt's Nour El Sherbini continued her remarkable run after winning the PSA Dubai World Series with a 3-1 victory over compatriot Raneem El Welily on Saturday.

Mohamed Elshorbagy prevailed in the men's contest, defeating fellow Egyptian Ali Farag 3-1 to win the title.

World number one El Sherbini, who also beat El Welily in last month's British Open final, got the better of her opponent for the fourth time in six meetings in major PSA World Tour events this season.

She produced another impressive display to down El Welily 11-5, 9-11, 11-8, 11-5 in 41 minutes and lift a seventh PSA World Tour trophy this season.

"This is the best match we’ve played in the whole season," El Sherbini said after the game, according to the PSA World Tour website.

"This is the sixth time [this season] and it's hard to play the same player every month. You have to try and change your tactics and your game.

"We're always pushing each other and we definitely learn from each other. I've been watching her a lot and learning from her a lot and it's an honour to battle with her the whole season."

Elshorbagy, who is on top of the men's world ranking, won the Dubai World Series with a comfortable victory over world number two Farag, who beat Elshorbagy when they met in the US Open final last year.

Elshorbagy won the title for the second straight year after overcoming England's James Willstrop in last year's final.
